This assignment required classmates to gather in a group and utilize a wheelchair for a specified amount of time. My group utilized the wheelchair at a grocery store and two clothing stores. From this experience, I learned that a certain stigma is applied to a person if a wheelchair is present. I never thought about how someone with a disability might feel until I did this assignment.	This assignment required some research on an agency of our choice. I chose the Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, as well as Tri-County Mental Health Services. I listed a number of services that each agency offered. Finally, the paper includes my own interpretation of ethical principles, as well as a case scenario.	This assignment was fun to do. For this activity, I created an adapted toothbrush holder for someone with limited hand mobility. Pictures are included to show how the device looks.

*REFLECTION
The wheelchair assignment allowed me to gain an understanding of how it feels to utilize a wheelchair. Although I do not utilize a wheelchair every single day, it has helped me to be more empathetic and understanding of people with disabilities. There were a number of negative and positive attitudes given by the public, as well as a number of architectural limitations. By completing this assignment, I have learned the difficulties and challenges that a person who utilizes a wheelchair encounters everyday. In addition to the wheelchair stimulation project, the adapted device activity gave me a chance to create a device for someone with limited hand mobility. My grandmother, who had a difficult time with her hands, was the person in mind when I was completing this assignment. This class taught me that there are a number of inexpensive ways to create adaptive devices for a person with a disability. Finally, the community entry assignment gave me a chance to show my understanding of ethical standards. The paper showed my ability to research resources and to provide clients with resources in their community.
