Throughout
my time spent at the University of Maine at Farmington, I have had many
influential professors. Of these professors, I have asked two of them
to write a letter of recommendation for when I choose to further my
career into a graduate program. The included letter is from Dr. Robert
Pullo, who has also been my advisor since I began my studies at the
university.

| Throughout my sixteen years of education, I have acquired not only useful knowledge,
but I have also accomplished many great things along the way. Through
my various jobs, I have built my resume to include a broad
spectrum of my personal skills and abilities. |

| I
attended the Cape Elizabeth school system from kindergarten to
graduation. During my high school years, I began working much
earlier than other students. Rather than participating or attending
sporting events on the weekends, I was always working. Despite my busy
work schedule, I was able to maintain participation in the schools
various theater productions. Through my outstanding academic work and
participation in the theater program, I earned a nomination and
acceptance to the National Honors Society. |

| During
my senior celebration dinner, I had not expected to receive any awards
or scholarships. Sitting patiently, watching others walk up and receive
their envelopes, I heard my name called. Not only was my name called,
but it was called twice. I was very fortunate to receive these
scholarships to help begin my journey into my college years. |

| During
junior year in high school, I visited only one college. I stayed with my
cousin, sophomore standing, at the University of Maine at Farmington
(UMF) for one weekend. We toured the campus, town, and restaurants.
After one visit, I knew that UMF was where I wanted to be. Although I
did not know what I wanted to do yet, I decided to apply early decision
as an undeclared student. A few short weeks later, I received my
acceptance letter in the mail. |

| Throughout
high school, I had always made the honor roll. My family was always so
excited to see my name in the local paper each trimester, quarter, or
semester. I ended my high school career with high honors my junior and
senior years. Since enrolling in Farmington, I have made the Dean's
List four out of my six semesters. Out of those four Dean's List
distinctions, three of them have been high honors. This has been my
greatest accomplishment of my college career at UMF. |
