| Task- Dr. Phil has recently just announced his retirement and now ABC is looking for someone qualified to take over his position. Psychiatrists from all around the country are selecting one of their patients to film for an audition tape. Your psychiatrist practice will select one of the doctors from your practice and one of your patients to be filmed for this audtion.Your episode topic will be on stress and stress management techniques. There will be a team of executives from ABC who will review all the audition tapes and select one to be the next Dr. Phil. |

| Process- 1) First everyone will write down on a piece of paper the technology which you want to work with on this process. The two choices are imovie and Garage Band. 2) Following everyones selection you will be placed into seperate groups based on the technology. Then you may discuss with your groups the best time to meet and start creating times to work on your projects. 3) After discussing the best times to meet you will need to come up a stressful situation which all of you agree on and discuss what about the situation makes it stressful. 4) As a group you will research about stress and the effects it has on the human body and some different stress management techniques. 5) After the gourp figures out what you precieve as a stressful situation you will decide on roles which everyone will take during the project. The different roles include psychiatrist, patient, individual taping the movie (If students use imovie as technology) Once everyone picks a role as a group you will develop a solution to the stressful situation and demonstrate stress management techniques. The psychiatrist and the patient will act out a talk show while the third person tapes the show. The script which your group creates will be used when acting out the roole and taping the film. 7) You will act out your roles through the type II technology and get the project prepared to present to the ABC executives. 8) Your group will present the final audition tape or recording to the ABC team. |

| Evaluation- You will be graded on two seperate rubrics and they will be averaged together to create the final grade. The first rubric deals with the presentation or how you will show your final product and the second rubric consists of the actual product. Presentation rubric Porduct rubric |

| Conclusion- Congradulations you did an amazing job! You have successfully helped someone figure out how to better handle the stress in their lives. You have successfully impressed the ABC executives and they have offered you the position. You may now take your skills and knowledge and put them into a new television series. Maybe now that you have helped an individual you could even recognize stress within your own life and determine better ways to prevent and deal with it. |
