The papers that I have selcted for this section of my prortfolio are here because I think they best represent  my perpective on disability and  the program rehabilitation services from the time that I have been a student at UMF.

Spend 72 hours in a wheelchair!      

 This was assigned in my Introduction to Disabilities Class.  For this assigment we were suppose to do exactly what we did everyday for three days. The only difference was that we had to do it in a wheelchair. This experience showed me that it can be very challenging to get around in a wheelchair, but if you put your mind to it you can pretty much do anything. This was definately a life changing experience.




Adapted Device

This was assigned in my Therapeatic Recreation class. In this assignment we were asked to make an adaptive device that would help a person with a disability.  We had to choose a specific population that the device would work for I chose to create something  for people who are visually  impaired.  I decided to create a card game called UNO.
