Liberia holds Africa's highest population growth rate, at 3.661 %.  This is believed to be true due to the fact that displaced persons and refugees are still returning to Liberia since the end of the Civil War in 2003.  Similar to its neighbors, it has a large youth population, with nearly half of the population being under the age of 18.
