 In outdoor recreation we had to develop an adaptive device that would assist a certain population. These projects helped me understand the perspective of a person with a disability giving me an awareness of accommodation. For introduction to disabilities we had to choose one building on campus and assess the accommodations for people utilizing a wheelchair. In casework I did a paper on a different resources in a certain community. These assignments have helped me gain a perspective on different disabilities.


Interpersonal Professional Skills

Intro to Counseling:

Each project required interviewing, professional writing and oral presenting. In intro to counseling I had to do a video. This video entailed myself counseling an individual. These projects helped me learn skills that will be helpful in furthering my professional career.


Professional Helping Philosophy

Integrated Theory Paper Multicultural Report: Leprosy Myself as A Counselor
Each one of these projects has allowed me develop my own eclectic philosophy as a future service provider. I was able to acknowledge and understand my personal biases and values.


Technology Project

Aqua Therapy Video Freshman year I did a media project that involved a form of outdoor recreation. My partner and I chose Aqua Therapy. This video shows and explains the techniques and benefits of Aqua Therapy.
