My name is Aimee and I have lived in New England my whole life. I live with both my parents and my two younger siblings. My sister’s name is Caitlyn and she is 19 years old and my brother's name is Matthew and he is 16 years old. I love my whole family and it is hard to be so far away from them.
I also have two cats and one dog named Casey, Sassy and Leo. My youngest cat and my dog are best friends and it is refreshing to see how two completely different species can act like there are no differences between them. Too many people are too worried about what color someone skin is or what clothes they wear. We could all learn something from these two animals.
I love to dance and I am on the UMF Dance team. We dance at the halftimes of the basketball games. It is a way to meet many people because our team usually consists of 30 or more girls. I enjoy dancing and it is a way for me to forget the rest of the world and relax. To see some of our videos you can visit youtube.com and put UMF Dance team into the search browser.
I am also a part of the Rehabilitation club. We try to do a lot of awareness projects. Our biggest event is Awareness Day usually held in the beginning of April. I love being part of this club because I think more people need to know more about rehabilitation and why it is needed! We believe that there is a person before the disability so we support person-first terminology. These pictures were taken to show that when people say wheelchair bound or confined they aren't saying what they mean.
About me
Aimee Lynn Chase
My Gram has always been there for me.We have so much fun together and so many good memories. My favorite memory is during one christmas when we woke up early and went into my Gram's room to pound on the floor because my parent's room was right below it. I love her and I hate being so far away from her.

I really like this quote!
"A meeting was held very far from Earth! It's time again for another birth. Said the angels to the lord above, this special child will need much Love. His progress may be very slow, Accomplishment he may not show. And he'll need extra care, from the folks he meets down there. He may not laugh, or run, or play, His thoughts may seem quite far away. In many ways, he won't adapt, he may be known as handicapped. So let's be careful where he's sent. We want his life to be content. Please Lord, find the parents who, Will do a special job for you. They will not realize right away, the leading role they're asked to play. But with this child sent from above, Comes stronger faith, and richer Love. And soon they'll know the privelege given, In caring for their gift from heaven. Their precious charge so meek and mild, Is Heaven's Very Special Child".-author unknown
