I, Aimee Lynn Chase, believe… ● That people should treat others how they would want to be treated ● That all people have the power to be who they want to be and the right to make their ● Being truthful to oneself and to others is a prime ingredient to being happy ● That people should do what they say they will do and break obligations only when ● Family is important part of one’s life and everyone should have a family or group ● Accessible education should be available for all and that people should strive to learn Rationale My values and beliefs have been shaped by my past experiences and continue to be shaped by my current experiences. Family is important to me and from my experiences with family I have come to value truthfulness and autonomy. My family has always been there for me, which is why I think it is important to have that support system to rely on. Truthfulness came to be a value of mine because I have seen how people are hurt when lies are told. Autonomy is one of my top values because I think people should have a choice in their life, whether it is good or bad; each person should get that chance.
