SKIN CANCER

What do you think you should know about SKIN CANCER?

Skin is the largest organ of the body, which covers internal organs and protects them from injury. It serves as a barrier between germs and prevents the loss of too much water and other fluids. The skin also regulates body temperature and certain cells in the skin communicate with the brain and allow for temperature, touch, and pain sensations

How about that in the United States skin cancer is the most common type of cancer. There are two types of cancer that are very common and they are called basal cell and squamous cell and they are both highly curable. The third type of cancer is the most dangerous type and it’s called MELANOMA. It’s caused by exposure to Ultraviolet light.

In the United States, more than 1 million skin cancers are diagnosed each year. That's more than cancers of the prostate, breast, lung, colon, uterus, ovaries, and pancreas combined.
