examined through case studies and review of research literature.
Diagnosis, treatment, and care are considered. Topics include

225: Outdoor Recreation for Special Groups

| This course will provide an
introduction to program planning and leadership techniques in recreational
activities for persons in institutional, community, and camp settings.
Focus will be on the adaptation of activities for individuals with varying
abilities. Environmental awareness, inclusion, legal and safety
considerations and activity analysis will be addressed.

is a systematic examination of the relationship of the individual to
society and gives introductory coverage to several topics including: the
self, personal uniqueness, the socialization process, role, status,
culture, cultural diversity, groups, bureaucracy, family, community,
social stratification, education and/or other pertinent topics.
