MAT 120: Introductory Statistics
A general introductory course including descriptive statistics, sampling, estimation, normal distribution, correlation. Statistical computer package programs are introduced. Prerequisite(s): two years of high school algebra or permission of instructor.

Abnormalities in human behavior are examined through case studies and review of research literature. Diagnosis, treatment, and care are considered. Topics include schizophrenia, manic-depression, suicide, and sexual deviance.

REC 225: Outdoor Recreation for Special Groups
This course will provide an introduction to program planning and leadership techniques in recreational activities for persons in institutional, community, and camp settings. Focus will be on the adaptation of activities for individuals with varying abilities. Environmental awareness, inclusion, legal and safety considerations and activity analysis will be addressed.

REH 210: Family Relationships
Examination of contemporary family systems and culture, and public policy. Major issues reviewed are gender roles, ethnicity, developing and maintaining close relationships, marriage and parenthood, and combining work and family life.

SOC 101F: Introduction to Sociology  
This multicultural and global course is a systematic examination of the relationship of the individual to society and gives introductory coverage to several topics including: the self, personal uniqueness, the socialization process, role, status, culture, cultural diversity, groups, bureaucracy, family, community, social stratification, education and/or other pertinent topics.
