I do not need to tell you how important this filming is to the studio, each of the teams we are sending out has an important era to capture forever.  Yours is one of the most important.  You all need to do a good job researching before you go so that when you do go you won't get into any trouble in the field, last thing we need is for them to burn you for being witches or something old fashioned like that!  If you do not have enough background knowledge on this topic I will scrap your group and send another team through and you will be stuck here to watch the feeds from the various teams, I don't want to do that.
I will be assessing your knowledge based on several ideas

  • Your knowledge of the barons is complete and you can explain their situation in England and the effect the changes would have on them.
  • Your knowledge of the King is complete, you know about John's past, how this situation effected him and what it was like for him and his family before this charter.
  • Your knowledge of the English Peasantry during the time is up to par, you know how they live, their rights, and how this bill effected them...remember we are in the 13th century here, don’t research later generation peasants!
  • Your knowledge of the recent history of the Magna Carta Era in England and Europe is up to snuff, what has happened recently that has made such a tense climate here?  Any big wars, any big upheavals, any big-wigs putting the pressure on England?  You need to know this!
  • Now this isn’t important to making it through filming but it is important to the film!  Using what you learned how does this connect to what you know of the Constitution?  Any similarities?  Why do you think they are there?

Now, I have complete faith in you and your team's ability to perform this task, I expect no foul ups and nothing but the best work from all of you, oh and no trying to steal info from another team if you do that you will be out of the studio before you can blink an eye!
